The XLR-V Pedigree

The Cadillac XLR-V was the high performance version of the XLR. It was an ultra-luxury segment car, first introduced in 2005.

The XLR-V's 4.4L Northstar V8 SC produced an astounding 443 HP at 6,400 rpm and 414 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,900 rpm.

Its Magnetic Ride Control, one of the world's fastest-reacting suspension systems, could speed-read the pavement up to 1,000 times per second, instantly adjusting for optimum maneuverability on the fly. This two-seat open-air roadster sports a deluxe driving environment that has everyone clamoring to ride shotgun. Temperature-adjusting seat surfaces with two heating and cooling levels and a heated steering wheel keeps the driver and passenger comfortable. Exotic Zingana wood appointments and kinetic aluminum accents completes the picture inside.

The 2009 Model

For model year 2009, the XLR added a new front fascia, new rear fascia and new side fender vents. Inside, Alcantara - a suede-like microfiber material - was added for the headliner. The interior added new instrument cluster trim rings with revised graphics, and new wood dashboard trims. Also, the new Cadillac steering wheel was put in place of the 2003 CTS-like wheel. Production of the XLR ended in the spring of 2009, with the final example completed on March 31.
